Corey is an accomplished results-oriented financial services leader who has worked with a cross-section of professional services and non-profit entities. Prior to joining New Venture Advisors, Corey has been running his own financial consulting business (CF Financial LLC) since 2015, providing various financial services to small- and medium-sized businesses. Such work has included financial modeling, budgeting, operations, planning, and interim CFO work. His company has engaged with companies in several countries and across industries in technology, government, community development, non-profit, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, entertainment, and music. Prior to starting his own business, Corey was a Director at Standard & Poor’s for 14 years, where he did credit ratings for public infrastructure and state and local governments.
Corey is passionate about using his skills, background, and desire to see improved outcomes. He has been a member of several non-profits, with a strong community focus. Corey has served on several boards and associations throughout Chicago that have a direct cultural, governmental, and social impact on the city and the area.
Corey originally comes from Chicago. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and BS from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign in Finance & Economics.
